NEW: Hinojosa Announces $25 Million Total Raised, $3 Million in Last Two Weeks

Austin, TX – With under one month until Election Day, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa announced she has reported raising $22 million – including $13 million in the latest reporting period – with an additional $3 million in the last ten days after three independent polls showed her leading Greg Abbott by 3 or more points. Greg Abbott has spent over $124 million against Hinojosa since the start of the cycle. In the last week he has sounded the alarms and called in his billionaire megadonors to donate millions since the first Siena poll showed Gina Hinojosa leading. In the latest reporting period, Hinojosa’s campaign had over 248,000 contributions from more than 136,000 unique donors, including 74% first-time donors, with an average contribution of $53.37.

“I’m honored to have the support of so many Texans who are ready for change,” said Hinojosa. “Since day one, this has been a people-powered campaign focused on ending Greg Abbott’s corruption that puts billionaires first and Texans last. My plan is as plain as the promise: secure the American Dream by saving our public schools and putting money in people’s pockets. That’s why people from every corner of Texas and in every political party are supporting and investing in our campaign. From now until Election Day, I will continue fighting for a Texas that puts working people over billionaires, because every Texan deserves the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.”

Since launching her campaign, Hinojosa has raised more than $25 million as she’s traveled across the state, meeting with Texans and focusing on the issues impacting them the most, from school closures to data centers and Flock cameras coming into their communities. Despite being outspent by Abbott 10-to-1, Hinojosa is leading with the key constituencies needed to win, and her momentum is only building. Texans are ready for change, and on November 3rd, they’ll send Hinojosa to the Governor’s Mansion.
