ICYMI: Gina Hinojosa Crisscrosses Texas During “One Fight” GOTV Tour
Austin, TX – For nearly two weeks, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa has traveled more than 3,000 miles across Texas to mobilize voters and share her plan for the state. Since kicking off the tour on October 18, Hinojosa has met with all types of Texans, holding rallies, launching volunteer efforts, visiting college campuses and meeting voters at the polls.

The tour builds on more than 75,000 miles Hinojosa has already traveled across the state before the GOTV started, where she met thousands of Texans, regardless of party, to outline her plan to end Greg Abbott’s corruption and secure the American Dream for Texans.

Hinojosa held rallies in Houston, San Antonio, Laredo, Odessa, Denton, Corpus Christi, Waco, Fort Worth, and El Paso. During a stop in Brownsville, where she grew up, Hinojosa reflected on her year long campaign.
“We launched this campaign in Brownsville, like, a year ago. A year ago, nobody thought we could do this. And the last year, we’ve been working hard, hard, because nobody’s going to outwork me,” said Hinojosa. “I’m from the Valley. This is about change, that this campaign is real. And we got Greg Abbott running scared.”

Hinojosa has visited college campuses, including Texas State, UT San Antonio, University of Houston, TWU, Texas A&M UTRGV, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and UT El Paso. At these stops, Hinojosa emphasized the power of young voters, encouraging the students to vote.
“This is going to be the first election that is majority Gen Z and Millennial. This means y’all are going to decide who wins this election. That is your power, and I’m urging you to use it. We have to turn out and vote in numbers as we’ve never turned out before,” said Hinojosa during her UTSA stop.

Also on the tour, Hinojosa has spent time at block walks and GOTV initiatives to mobilize local communities and greet voters as they headed to the polls.
As she continues her final push toward Election Day, Hinojosa has additional stops planned in Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
