STATEMENT: Gina Hinojosa on the 25th Anniversary of the September 11th Attacks

Austin, TX – Today, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa released the following statement on the 25th anniversary of September 11th.

“Today, we are unified in remembrance of the 2,977 innocent lives lost 25 years ago. On that day, Americans were brought together in a new resolve and strength to fight for those we lost, those we love, and to defend our freedom. 

“For thousands of Texans, 9/11 was not just a moment of national tragedy. It became their call to serve. Texans answered that call in Iraq, Afghanistan, and across the world, and many came home carrying wounds seen and unseen. 

“We keep in our hearts every person lost on 9/11, every veteran and service member lost in the fight to protect our democracy since, and every family whose lives were forever changed.”
