NEW AD: Hinojosa Releases Ad Highlighting Abbott Bringing Flock Cameras to Texas

Austin, TX – Today, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa released a new campaign ad, “Welcome to Texas,” highlighting the influx of 10,000 Flock cameras in Texas under Greg Abbott’s leadership. The 15-second digital ad is airing in Texas university towns, including College Station, San Marcos, Lubbock, Denton, Waco, Fort Worth, and Austin.

Last year, Abbott handed Flock a $26 million contract to operate in Texas. Now, Flock cameras are operating in dozens of Texas cities and counties and are “heavily subsidized by state grants,” which can cover 75-80% of the cost.
