UPCOMING: Hinojosa Spanish Town Hall with Carlos Eduardo Espina
Houston, TX – Today, Democratic Nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa announced that she will participate in a Spanish town hall in Houston. The town hall, moderated by Carlos Eduardo Espina, will allow Hinojosa to speak directly to Spanish-speaking voters as part of the campaign’s broader effort to reach Latino voters across Texas.
The event follows Hinojosa’s homecoming swing to the Rio Grande Valley, where she engaged with local residents, community leaders, and business owners from border communities grappling with rising costs and shared her vision for putting money in Texans’ pockets, including freezing utility rates, supporting small businesses, and strengthening workforce development.
Hinojosa is leading Greg Abbott by 4 points in new public polling – the first time Abbott has been down in a gubernatorial poll – and widening her lead among Latino voters to 33 points, after two polls last week showed Hinojosa up 27 points among Latinos. This growing support reflects her focus on key issues for Latino communities, particularly employment opportunities and the cost of living.
