NEW: Hinojosa Releases Billboards Highlighting the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax in Corpus Christi Ahead of the State Party Convention
Austin, TX – This week, the Gina Hinojosa for Texas Governor campaign released three billboards across downtown Corpus Christi ahead of the state Democratic party convention outlining Greg Abbott’s history of corruption, including steering state contracts to his donors. Greg Abbott has given away a billion dollars of Texans’ money to his donors in no-bid contracts.
“This election is about one fight: do the billionaires get to run our state, or do the people of Texas? Greg Abbott has picked the billionaires, and he’s been handing them our money ever since,” said Hinojosa. “Texans deserve a governor who works for them. I’m running to save our schools and put money back in the pockets of hardworking Texans. When we win in November, that’s exactly what I’ll do.”
From now until Election Day, the campaign will continue to show voters how the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax has taken taxpayer dollars from hardworking Texans while they struggle with their neighborhood schools closing, data centers flooding their communities, and the rising costs of gas, groceries, utilities, and healthcare.
The billboards will be up until June 28th and a reminder to visitors of the stakes of the coming election.
