Gina Hinojosa Issues Statement Honoring Memorial Day

Austin, TX – Gina Hinojosa, Democratic candidate for Governor of Texas, today released the following statement marking Memorial Day:

“This Memorial Day, we honor the Texans and Americans who gave their lives to protect us. Theirs is the same grit that built this great state. Generations of Texans have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms, rights, and the American Dream, believing that if you give your all to this country, this country owes you a fair shot at a better life. The men and women we remember today gave their all and never got to know that promise for themselves. We owe it to them to keep it for every Texan who comes after.
