NEW AD: “Pronouns” – Hinojosa Fights for Working Families, Abbott Runs Same Old Playbook

Austin, TX – Today, as the RNC comes to Dallas, Democratic nominee for Texas Governor Gina Hinojosa released a new campaign ad, “Pronouns.” This ad follows Greg Abbott resorting to tired-old culture war attacks as Hinojosa’s continues to surge in the polls, with seven consecutive polls showing a virtually tied race.

The ad, which will run statewide, acknowledges that Abbott wants to call Hinojosa “too woke,” but in the face of all the problems that Abbott created after 30 years in public office – rising costs, closing schools, and countless data centers and Flock cameras invading our communities – Texans are tired of the old culture war playbook and want a governor who will stick up for them.

This is the closest the Texas governor’s race has ever been, and Abbott is in the political fight of his life. Seven polls in just over a month show a virtual tie between Hinojosa and Abbott, and he has never been less popular. Hinojosa is winning every single coalition needed to flip the state on her message to secure the American Dream. Texans are ready for change, and at the ballot box this November, they will take back our state.

Transcript:

They want to run an entire campaign saying that I’m too woke.

Let’s roll.

I plan to spend an entire campaign focused on the fact that working people are too broke.

That’s the difference.

I’m Gina Hinojosa. My pronouns are Mom, Texan, and soon to be: Governor.
