ICYMI: Hinojosa on CNN: “Democrats are winning where we haven’t won in a long time,” Fort Worth Win Shows Texans Ready for Change

Austin, TX — Yesterday, gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa joined Jake Tapper on CNN to discuss last week’s special election victory in State Senate District 9 in Fort Worth and what it signals about Democratic momentum heading into November. Hinojosa highlighted how Latino voters are driving the change Texas needs and emphasized the national significance of the Tarrant County win.

As Hinojosa said during the interview, “My favorite Republican quote is Steve Bannon who said, ‘As goes Tarrant County, so goes Texas and so goes the world.’ What we are seeing in Texas, and it’s through grassroots organic movement, is that Democrats are winning where we haven’t won in a long time. Hispanic Texans are very proud of our country, we are a very patriotic people, and these election results that are happening all over the state are demonstrating that people are desperate for change.”
