Gina Hinojosa Visits 9 Cities in 7 Days to Kick Off New Year

Austin, TX — Gina Hinojosa has been out in full force across Texas, meeting with local leaders, firing up supporters, and getting the word out about her agenda of lowering costs, defending public schools, and rooting out corruption. In just one week, Hinojosa visited with leaders and supporters in Houston, Kingsville, McAllen, Edinburg, Brownsville, Donna, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Robstown.

“I’m honored that so many folks are standing behind me in this run for governor,” said Gina Hinojosa. “I’ll always love going home to the Valley, and I’m so excited to be welcomed like it’s home in Harris County and the Coastal Bend region. Texans are fired up. I hear it over and over again – people everywhere are tired of working more and getting less. They’re tired of paying the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax and hungry for a campaign that has a plan to help families across the state to prosper.”

In Houston last Tuesday, Hinojosa hosted an influencer happy hour where she talked with Erika Harrison of Black Girls Who BrunchTayhlor ColemanMichaela Booker, and Dawn Jones of Pretty in Politics. Hinojosa is going everywhere to get out the message that Texans deserve the opportunity to thrive.

On Thursday in Kingsville, Hinojosa was greeted by local leaders and voters at a dinner where she heard about concerns with rising costs, ICE overreach, and the ongoing water crisis.

On Friday in McAllen, Gina met with the Executive Director of the South Texas Builders Alliance, Mario Guerrero. Guerrero has received national attention for calling out how ICE raids are decimating the South Texas economy.

That same night in Edinburg, Gina took questions on education, housing, and corruption at a South Texas Sandía Depot.

On Saturday in Donna, Hinojosa joined Bobby Pulido for a rally in the Valley that saw hundreds gather on an uncharacteristically chilly night. The message was clear: the Rio Grande Valley stands with Gina.

On Sunday in San Antonio, Hinojosa was invited by Representative Barbara Gervin Hawkins to visit churches in San Antonio where she was greeted with open arms and moved by the prayer and testimony of local San Antonians.

Later that night in Corpus Christi, Hinojosa headlined a rally in Corpus Christi, highlighting the schools that are facing closure in the city and reminding Democrats in Nueces County that we have a real opportunity to make a brighter future for Texans that puts money back in their pockets by stopping the Greg Abbott Corruption Tax.

Finally, the next morning, she met with dozens of leaders in the small town of Robstown, where the mayor’s seat recently flipped blue by 13 votes. She’s fighting for every vote in every corner of the state.
